Sugilite crystallizes in the form of lightly banded masses and, rarely, as tiny crystals and as sugilite inclusions within quartz crystals. The massive formation occasionally contains portions of sugilite known as *gel**a translucent form of the sugilite. It has also been seen [rarely] in the configuration of a coarse mass where both sugilite and quartz were represented. The colour range includes violet-pink to purple. It is found, mainly, in the Kalahari region of the Republic of South Africa. This mineral brings about the realization of the connection between the well-being of the body and the well-being of the mind. It has been used in the treatment of all forms of "dis-ease" and attracts healing power. It has surfaced now to bring special healing powers to humanity . Sugilite is "a love stone for this age", representing the perfection of the spiritual love of" All That Is" and facilitating the manifestation of this energy on the Earth plane. The energy of sugilite flows from the crown to the base chakra, opening the chakras and providing for a pathway for the movement of the Kundalini. It is quite effective at the heart chakra, stimulating a resonant love which can be felt by others and which is totally "in-tune" with the vibratory energies of the perfect state of the universe. Sugilite can assist in reminding the user of the reasons for being in the physical body and for living on the Earth plane. It helps one to forgive oneself and others, enhancing ones understanding of the lessons which have been chosen for this visit to the physical realm. It is useful in facilitating memory to answer the question "why am I here?"; it can further help one to determine methods for bringing ones gifts to this world. It can be used to protect against the harsh realities of this world and to enable one to willingly accept being here and living now. It can help one to believe in oneself, especially if there is an inherent and stable uniqueness which one manifests and which is not universally accepted. It can also be used to eliminate hostility -it is quite difficult for one to remain hostile toward oneself; in addition. and following the same logic. it can also be used to eliminate anger. abrasiveness. jealousy. prejudice. and all of the negative attributes one could imagine. What an exciting thought! It is wonderful to wear or carry -it gives one a feeling of being free -"being on top of a mountain with the breeze ruffling your hair"; it infuses the being with inspiration and confidence. The insights are astonishing when meditating with sugilite; one can also hold sugilite and meditate upon the effects which can be expected with further use. For discouragement or despair, sugilite may be placed at the third-eye and one may breathe-in the comforting energy. It allows for the flow of gentle, loving information from the spiritual world to the mental plane, bringing peace and relaxation to the user. It furthers ones creative endeavors by providing for cooperation between the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies while enhancing precision in action. It is an excellent remedy for headaches; one can hold a piece of sugilite containing the black manganese in order to allow pain to be transferred to the manganese/sugilite stone. It has been used to dispel all types of discomforts and feelings of disorder; one may hold the stone and allow the negative energy of the discomfort to be released into the black manganese of the sugilite.
